If you are moving house then let me start by saying good luck with your move; ok now that we have got the sentimental stuff out of the way lets get into the reason why I am writing this blog. OK so moving is very exciting and it has a lot of positives, you are starting a new chapter of your life. There is however the stress of packing everything up for the move. Here are my personal tips to take into consideration that should make your move just that little bit easier.
Why move what you don’t need?
The first things that you need to consider when you are packing up all of your belongings is ‘do I really need this’ and ‘have I ever used this’ if you answer ‘not really’ or ‘never’ to either of these questions then you probably don’t need it!
Hire a skip
Why not hire a skip or a vehicle where you can take your items to be recycled, that way you will force yourself to go through your things and get rid of them. Remember that you need to be ruthless as you want to get rid of as much stuff as possible. You will no doubt have things in your old house that look good there but you know that they won’t look good in your new place. Why duplicate work for yourself they need to go too!
Out with the old
Ok so we started on a cliché so why not end on one! Cliché aside one of the added bonuses about moving into a new place is that you can start afresh! This means that you can buy new things that will fit and match perfectly in your new place. That way you have the excitement of transforming your new house into a home that you can call your own.
